Renewable Energy Test Station (RETS) is an autonomous body governed by “RENEWABLE ENERGY TEST STATION RULES 2063” framed under clause 31 of Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST) Act 2048. Previously it was known as Solar Energy Test Station (SETS). It is located inside the premises of Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), Khumaltar, Lalitpur, Nepal. It was formally established in July 2001 with mutual collaboration of Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), Alternative Energy Promotion Centre (AEPC), Energy Sector Assistance Program (ESAP), Nepal Bureau of Standards and Metrology (NBSM) and Solar Electric Manufacturers Association of Nepal (SEMAN).
